AtoM v1.4 한글화 진행 여부 (v2.0과의 차이)
Congratulations on all your hard work. It is wonderful to see AtoM 2.0 translated into Korean.
We are currently in the process of updating our documentation to better explain the relationships between ICA-AtoM 1.4 and AtoM 2.0 and their future, but in the meantime, I will try and answer your questions.
ICA-AtoM 1.4 has not been released, and it is currently not funded, so we do not know when that version will be ready for the public. ICA-AtoM 1.4 uses the original architecture of ICA-AtoM, which is based on Lucene search and is well-suited to singular institutional use, or multi-institutional portals with smaller amounts of records and digital objects. As you know, the early funding for ICA-AtoM came from the ICA. In recent years, this funding has been less available, but that might change in the future depending upon the priorities of the ICA.
AtoM 2.0.1 is the latest release, and we are currently working on AtoM 2.1 to be released Spring/Summer. The funding for many of the improvements to AtoM 2.0.1 are due to client driven features that are funded through development contracts with Artefactual. AtoM 2.0 uses a new architecture, which is based on Elastic Search and is well-suited to large institutions and multi-institutional portals with high volume of records and digital objects. It is a much more scalable architecture than the original version used in ICA-AtoM. As you can understand, AtoM is not supported by ICA funding; however, it does include and support all ICA standards and will continue to promote the adoption of international standards for the archival and heritage community.
We will attempt to merge all translations completed for AtoM 2.0 into ICA-AtoM 1.4 when it is ready for release, so that the larger community can have the opportunity for multi-lingual UI regardless of the version. But, yes, if you want to continue to use AtoM in the future, it is best to translate the 2.0 version.
What version of Archivematica are you using? What version of AtoM are you using?
The OAI-PMH feature in AtoM 2.0 is temporarily broken, but we do have funding to fix it, hopefully for the next version or in late Summer/Fall. That being said, we are working with clients who are running AtoM 2.0.1 and Archivematica successfully. I have asked our Archivematica Product Manager and she has told me that there is a slightly different set up for AtoM 2.0.1 in the dashboard. The best approach will be for you to email your question to the Archivematica user forum: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/archivematica.
Regards,
Jessica
